My approach

I believe therapy should feel personal, practical, and supportive, not one-size-fits-all. Every woman, teen, and mom I work with has her own story, strengths, and struggles, so I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs.
My approach is eclectic and person-centered, meaning I draw from different evidence-based methods while keeping your values, goals, and comfort at the center.
Together, we’ll explore what works best for you, whether that means structured tools for anxiety, space to process emotions, or guidance for navigating parenting challenges.
methods and perspectives
In every session, my goal is the same: to give you the tools, support, and space you need to heal, grow, and live with more confidence and peace.
Here are some of the methods and perspectives I may bring into our work.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
A powerful, research-backed therapy for healing painful memories and shifting negative beliefs. EMDR helps your brain reprocess distressing experiences without needing to relive them in detail. It’s especially effective for trauma, anxiety, phobias, and low self-esteem.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT looks at how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. By identifying and reshaping unhelpful thinking patterns, CBT provides practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, and depression, empowering you to create lasting change in your daily life.
Faith-Based Counseling (Optional)
For clients who desire it, I can integrate a Christian perspective into therapy. This may include prayer, scripture, or spiritual insights woven into our work, always at a pace and depth you are comfortable with. For others, therapy remains completely non-religious. The choice is always yours.
Creative & Child-Focused Training
While my practice is fully online, my background includes training in play therapy, sandtray, and art therapy approaches. These experiences deepen my understanding of child development and emotional expression, and they shape the way I support teens and parents in virtual sessions. This allows me to bring creativity and flexibility into online counseling, whether it’s helping a teen express emotions in new ways, or guiding a parent through strategies to better understand and connect with their child.
Parenting Support
Parenting can feel overwhelming, and it’s easy to wonder if you’re doing enough. I provide a space where moms can learn practical skills, understand child development, and gain confidence in their parenting, while also receiving emotional support for themselves. Together, we’ll work on strategies that reduce stress at home and build stronger, more connected relationships with your children.
